Tehran, Prague call for closer coop.

TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) – Iran’s Parliament Vice-Speaker Aboutorabi Fard and Czech PM Bohuslav Sobotka held talks in Prague on Fri. for expansion of bilateral and regional cooperation.

During the Friday meeting in Prague, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka maintained that Iran and Czech Republic should make plans for expanding cooperation in various political and economic fields.

He also referred to the current issues and crises in the Middle East, saying cooperation with Iran could lead to the resolution of many regional conflicts.

The Czech senior official welcomed the recommencement of talks between the Syrian government and the opposition groups, stressing the need for intentional cooperation in this regard which could also help settle Europe’s refugee crisis.

Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Seyed Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard also highlighted the two countries’ determination and interest in developing cooperation in economic, industrial and technological fields.

He further called for collective efforts for stopping anti-Muslim sentiments and preventing terrorist groups from gaining power in the region.

Iranian Parliamentary delegation headed by Vice-Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Seyed Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard arrived in the capital city of Czech Republic, Prague, late on Thursday.

The Iranian delegation on the two-day visit is also slated to meet with the minister of industry and trade, the chair of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament, vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies and chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
